“I’ve been at Neilsons since 2008, working in general commercial and civil litigation. Any criminal law cases also generally come to me. I chose law because I’m passionate about using logic to persuade someone my argument is right. I love learning about clients’ lives and how businesses operate so I can be an advocate for them. It feels really good when you win; there’s nothing else quite like it. A good litigator takes things a little bit personally. It makes you try harder.
"Victory for me is achieving whatever the client’s goals are. I’ll create leverage for my clients so they have the best opportunity to obtain a settlement, or their position is protected if a Judge needs to become involved. Urgent cases where a court order is required within a couple of days are especially exciting as decisions need to be made quickly.
“What do we stand for? Serving our clients with the best advice at a fair price. I think we are better than the big city firms because our service is more personal. Our internal culture reflects that too. We’re like a family.”
